Sometimes it's easier to access the area between the rafters in your attic via the roof. Roofing slates or tiles are removed to access the gap between the rafters below.
The foam is then applied to the backside of the insulated boards or plaster boards in the attic and where applicable a 50mm air gap can be created using breathable vents cards applied on to for the sprayed foam.
Open Cell Spray Foam Insulation
Open cell spray foam is used in domestic applications, in walls, floors, roof and of course attics. It expands to over 200 times its size filling every gap or nook and cranny making it the best form or insulation in terms of airtightness.
Although spray foam is unrivaled in terms of its airtightness properties it also allows water vapor to escape, preventing the buildup of harmful damp and mold.
